JACK IS NEW PARTY CHAIRMAN

Pennington resident, Jack Davies, is the new Chairman of the New Forest Liberal Democrats.

Jack, at 19 years old, is the youngest person ever to have held the post. He was selected by a ballot of all local party members in the Autumn, and formally takes up duties from 1st January.

Jack is currently a student at Southampton University, where he is studying politics. He also works part-time for a local taxi company. He is already well known in the area for campaigning on issues such as keeping bus services running and saving the local Household Waste Recycling Centre from closure.

Jack says “ It’s a real honour to have been elected to this role. The Liberal Democrats are still a very strong campaigning force. I hope to contribute towards making the party stronger and even more effective, especially when it comes to keeping services that people value”.
