Lib Dem Councillor for Pennington Learn more

A few months back I was contacted by residents of Torreyana Gardens regarding the locked play area which was overgrown and not being used. I liaised with officers at New Forest District Council and I am pleased to say that the Play Park opened in mid-September and is now maintained by the District Council.
There is likely to be further play equipment added to this site shortly. This is because the public open space included in the development at 99 Wainsford Road did not meet the council’s standards. The developer made an application for the play equipment to be provided off-site. This suits the council as there is already a play area nearby (pennington common) and the play equipment, which has already been bought, will enhance the existing play equipment at Torreyana Gardens.
