Lib Dem Councillor for Pennington Learn more

A community campaign has launched today with the aim of ensuring more affordable homes are built for young people and first-time buyers in Lymington.
The campaign launches as the Lymington Times reports that the site of the former bus station is to be developed into a set of luxury apartments for the retired. Campaigners have expressed concern that not enough is being done to encourage younger members of the community to settle down in Lymington.
With average house prices across the constituency 13 times higher than the average household income it is unsurprising that people are worried that the local council, and construction companies, are failing in their duty to ensure people have affordable homes to live in.
I have given my support to this campaign and will continue to fight alongside young people for affordable housing in Lymington.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday 1st March on the proposal in Lymington bus station which I am attending on behalf of the campaign.

Well done .We need to stop even more older people coming to live here .We do not have enough young people to care for them all .My children born & bred here , & now grandchildren cannot afford to buy a house here .The whole character of the town is changing . We need to build affordable housing .
